50 Pin Micro-D
(narrow high-density) - Also called Alternative 1, A-cable in SCSI-2 it is replacing the SUB-D 50-pin Alternative 1 connector defined in SCSI-1. A smaller connector than the Centronics type with pin-and-socket connections and a more reliable connection. Specified to have spring-latch fasteners but may be found with screw locks in rare cases. Male connector used for external cables, female for external devices.
